When Sierra made Lords of the Realm 2, they didn't put in any cheat codes. But by using a hex editor, you can do the same thing, well almost. Click here to download a program to do it for you. Or, read on to learn to do it yourself.
First you have to download a hex editor. If you already have one, keep reading. Otherwise, download Hex Workshop.
Once you're inside the hex editor, open up the saved game you want to change(Under the directory where Lords2 is, they have .sav extension). Scroll down until you get to "14B80". It'll look like this.
You have to change hex 14B80, 14B81, and 14B82 to change the amount
of gold you have. Changing all three to FF
gives you about 16,000,000 gold.
You can also change the number of weapons and materials you have.
Hexes 14B88 and 14B89 change the iron you
have.
Hexes 14B90 and 14B91 change the stone you
have.
Hexes 14B98 and 14B99 change the wood you
have.
Hexes 14BA8 and 14BA9 change the number of crossbows
you have.
Hexes 14BAC and 14BAD change the number of maces
you have.
Hexes 14BB0 and 14BB1 change the number of swords
you have.
Hexes 14BB4 and 14BB5 change the number of pikes
you have.
Hexes 14BB8 and 14BB9 change the number of bows
you have.
Hexes 14BBC and 14BBD change the number of armor
you have.
I found out how to change ownership of a county. It takes two changes per county. After doing it, you will need troops to defeat the army that was staying in the castle. If the county was not ruled by anyone then no troops will be necessary.
First, you must determine what color you are in the game: blue, yellow, purple, red, or black. It is also useful to know how many counties total are on the map. Then you must open the saved game in a hex editor.
Locate hex 1544D. It will say either 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, or 05. These
numbers mean:
Change 1544D to 01, so you can control it.
Then you must locate 1544F. It will also say either 00, 01, 02, 03,
04, or 05. These numbers mean:
Use the chart above to change 1544F to your color.
Now you go to hex 1574D and 1574F and make the same changes. The next changes are at 15A4D and 15A4F. Then 15D4D and 15D4F. You should be noticing a pattern now. Add three units to the hundreds place each time (Can you call it hundreds place?). Continue until you have made the correct number of changes. Until you have changed the hexes for all the counties you counted before.
You then save your changes and run Lords 2. If you did it right, you now own all the counties. You must end your turn for these changes to take place though.
Note: Any enemy armies stationed in castles in the counties you changed
will be released from the castle and will try to take the town again. This
is why the armies I mentioned are necessary.
*** Change hex 15454 to '64' and hex 15455 to '64'. This gives your town 100 heart.
Then go to 15754 and 15755. Continue making these changes like you did before. ***
